Pop Critics is actively looking for more talented and enthusiastic writers who can tackle some of the things we’re not already covering, or perhaps contribute new points of view to television shows or subjects we are already covering.
“If it's not on Pops Critics, it just doesn't matter.”

The first thing I have to say is that this was an AWESOME episode. The second is that the next new one isn’t for two weeks and that is total poo-poo.
Not only do I not get Lost next week, but now no Battlestar Galactica? Argh!
Let’s get to the episode tonight, entitled “Guess What’s Coming to Dinner?“
Previously on Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites, the four women left in the game wanted Erik out so it would be an all female final four. Unfortunately, Erik won individual immunity and the girls were forced to used their feminine charms to persuade Erik it was in his best interest to give immunity to Natalie. Erik did and was promptly voted out of Survivor and into the history books as the dumbest Survivor ever.
I’m worried.
The outlook on the summer blockbuster season was so hot a few months ago. The titles of the films coming out blew your mind and you couldn’t wait to see them.
Then Iron Man came and fulfilled our most wild fantasies. It was awesome!
Here’s something…different.
Variety reports that Fox plans on running LESS commercials during their showings of Fringe and Dollhouse this coming 2008-2009 season.
Fox is calling it “Remote-Free TV.“
The other day Mike mentioned a movie called City Of Ember that hasn’t gotten a lot of attention. He gave us some info on it as well as some pics and a really cool poster. The movie doesn’t come out until October so it’s sort of being overwhelmed by the big summer movies, but I saw the newly released trailer today and I think this little film just might surprise us. It actually looks really good.
Fresh off us getting the first glimpses of Dollhouse yesterday, we now have two clips from the pilot episode of Fringe, the new sci-fi drama from J.J. Abrams.
One is an interesting discussion between the three main characters played by John Noble (Lord of the Rings), Anna Torv and Joshua Jackson (Dawson’s Creek). Plus it also [...]
Thank you Office for an excellent, twisty-turny season finale.
Is Toby really gone? The last shot we get of him is his escort out of the building by Michael AND the old security guard.
Hilarious. In fact, there were so many funny scenes and moments in this episode, I’m going to have to watch it a few more times.
The new poster for Hellboy II: The Golden Army is one of the coolest posters I’ve seen so far this year. The colors, the imagery, and the tagline (Believe it or not - He’s the good guy) all work together to make this poster very effective.
(Adam takes a crack at writing a quick Lost recap this week, and he does a great job at it. Thanks Adam for helping out…Mike needed a break!)
There’s No Place Like Home, No Place Like Home…
The scene that I have personally been waiting four years for happened tonight, and that was the reuniting of our castaways with their families.
Here it is, for those craving to find out what Dollhouse is all about, how it looks and what the characters will be doing.
I liked it…looks dark, sexy and mysterious. I’m going to really enjoy Tahmoh Penikett as what appears to be an FBI agent trying to figure out what is going on. Reminds me of James Elliot from The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Fox released it’s massive 2008-2009 Primetime schedule today, plus all kinds of details about their new shows.
This is the part that’s cool. We actually have firm dates for Prison Break and Fringe:
