Battlestar Galactica: Razor flashbacks and more

For those of us who love Battlestar Galactica and have had the pleasure of experiencing the first three seasons, the news that the fourth season would be the final one was a bummer. Even more discouraging was the “Lost, 24″ effect where it wouldn’t rBattlestar Galacticaeturn until around February of 2008.

However, the show announced that there would be a 2-hour movie called “Razor” this fall that shows what happened to the Pegasus and Lee Adama’s first mission as commander. Rejoice! You can read all about the movie on SciFi.com and its other subplots. The film premieres on November 24th and you can see a teaser for the movie here.

In anticipation of the movie, SciFi.com is also showing a vitally important 7-part series about a young William Adama from many years in the past. The series has to do with his Viper mission and how something he discovers threatens the Pegasus 40 years later.

Part 1 is out and subsequent parts will be released on Fridays. They are only around two-minutes long each.

On a side note, the Sci Fi network appears unsure about whether the final season of BSG will be done over one last season, or split into two. Ugh, I hope they just end it this coming year.

Also, if you aren’t watching it, the DVD’s are awesome and it’s a great summer TV rental. I think next year I’ll write about the top shows to watch over a summer on DVD.
