100 Jango invites and news: Launch date, Mini players and widgets!
Yesterday I wrote a blog review about Jango and how it’s like the MySpace/Facebook of music sites, and that seemed to go over pretty well with the people at Jango.
So well in fact that they contacted me and I now have my very own pack of 100 invitations for you fine people.
Thanks to them, 100 of my closest friends and enemies can click this wonderful link and join a great music site and start finding new bands and friends and whatnot. I previously had three invites in my blog yesterday, but those probably ran out already…
Also, some Jango news to get you through the day:
I was told by Jango that their public beta launch is next week on November 12th, which means the site will start booming with traffic and people jumping on board.
The two other nuggets of news will be that Jango will have a mini-player, which is something I suggested to them after I joined yesterday and also mentioned in my blog post. The ability to have the player off to the site and not need an entire page dedicated to it is nice.
The other tidbit is that it will soon be able to be “widgetized” meaning you can insert it as a widget into your blog or website and provide music for your readers to listen to while they read. Pretty cool!
