Life on life support
It appears that Charlie Crews may never solve the mystery of his framing and subsequent incarceration on NBC’s crime series, “Life.”
According to TV Decoder at the NY Times, the news series Dateline will be replacing Life after its final produced episode airs, which is a two-parter showing on December 3rd and 5th. Life has gotten pretty crappy ratings, boasting an average of only 6.9 million viewers.
The report suggests that the only reason Life is even still on is because of the WGA Strike, which probably means it wont return after it’s final airing on the 5th.
This likely isn’t a shock to anyone. Kind of saw it coming.
I still watch the show and really enjoy Damien Lewis‘ portrayal of Crews. The character is interesting in how he deals with crimes using his Zen approach to life and his humor is spot on. It also doesn’t hurt that his partner Dani Reese is easy on the eyes, yet also a deeply hurting soul. They made a good team that I was growing fond of watching.
In the latest episodes, Crews was discovering how Reese’s father could be part of the conspiracy that was behind his framing, so I was looking forward to seeing that play out.
Like I said, it’s not a surprise it’s being canceled and it’s not anything I’ll cry about…it’s not like it’s JOURNEYMAN or something…
Does anyone still watch this show? Will you be bummed to see it go?
