Lost returns on January 31st
I guess there is some good news in this strike-laden season of TV. “Lost” returns on January 31st, earlier than we had been led to believe. Previously it was thought that it would come back sometime in February.
Now, when it does return, be sure to not get “lost” on your way to finding it. The show is moving to the powerhouse slot of 9:00 pm on Thursday nights.
That’s right, THURSDAY nights. Replacing Grey’s Anatomy that no longer has new episodes.
Apparently against the wishes of the producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof, ABC will air all 8 of the already completed episodes of the series, which allegedly end in a mini-cliffhanger.
The big deal with Lost last season was the massive break between the first six episodes and the final run. The show lost fans who didn’t care for the break, and ABC vowed to not let it happen again, opting for more of a “24″ type season, airing 16 episodes in a row without a single week off.
Yet here we start off, with only 8 done and no new ones in sight. If they stick to running them straight through, that would make the finale one air on March 20th, or something like that.
Will the strike be over by then? We can only hope.

That figures. ABC insisted on Poochie and Nicki last season and they’re going to screw this one up too.
What’s even worse is that I’m going to be moving the week that it starts back, provided our new house is completed by then. I’ll have to get the DirecTV guys to hustle!
