No Henriksen, but three announced for X-Files 2

So the Lance Henriksen in “X-Files 2” rumors turned out to be a dead end, but now comes more definite word of three actors joining David Ducovney and Gillian Anderson in the long-awaited sequel.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that Amanda Peet, rapper Xzibit and Billy Connolly will be a part of the second X-Files film, with Peet and Xzibit playing fellow FBI agents alongside Ducovney and Anderson.

That’s about all of the information available at this moment, as Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz (both wrote the screenplay) are keeping the plot cloaked in secrecy.

Connolly has appeared in numerous films, including “Who is Cletis Tout?” (excellent film) and has some wild looking pictures on IMDB.com. Xzibit has appeared in 8 Mile and is apparentlty the host of at least nine episode of Pimp My Ride.

Peet has a great list of movies she’s been in, like Syriana, Identity and my personal favorite: The Whole Nine Yards. I know there is a sequel to that film, but in this household, we don’t talk about it.

An interesting addition to the movie, I like Peet but am unfamiliar with the work of the other two.

No matter what, this is turning out to be the #1 movie I’m looking forward to next year. It starts .
