Skeet returns in ‘Jericho’ on February 12th
The post-apocalyptic world of Jericho returns to CBS on February 12th, thus becoming my first official birthday present. This was a fun show last year, one that didn’t get amazing ratings, but had a huge following.
It didn’t sound like it would pan out well, with Skeet Ulrich and Gerald McRaney as the stars, but it had a fun little quality to it. The plot revolves around a world in which nuclear war has left the people still alive scrambling to survive. Jericho is a little town outside Denver that slowly begins to realize what happened and who else is still out there.
There is an underlying plot as well, with a conspiracy involving the nukes that were fired and who actually pulled the trigger.
The show was due to be canceled but 40,000 bags of peanuts sent to CBS helped convince them to bring it back for another season.
Jericho’s second season amounts to only seven episodes, in which CBS directed them to complete the story, but the producers have said they don’t think these will be the final episodes for the series.

The Trousered Apes last...
I love Gerald McRaney. He is probably one reason (plus the concept of the show) that I watched it. Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure he was killed off last season.
While they might only be bringing back 7 shows. I’ll take um. 7 shows is better than no shows. Plus, with the strike how many other shows can say they have seven ready to go for next season?

Yeah, you are totally right, I forgot he bit it in the season finale. That was a sad scene…but yeah, seven episodes is great.
