Just as I noted a few days ago after seeing a promo for it on Universal HD, my DVR today picked up Episode “33″, which is the official first episode of Battlestar Galactica: Season 1.
The funny thing is that Universal HD’s own website doesn’t show this on their schedule, but my DTV guide has it there twice on Saturday night, and I’ve been hearing from other sites that it’s showing up on their guides as well.
The downside of this is that as far as I can tell, they aren’t showing the mini-series before Episode “33″, meaning if you’ve never seen the show, you’ll miss out on how it all begins. You can easily go rent it from your local video store though I assume.
I am trying to make contact with NBC programming to find out more of their plans for showing this entire season on UHD and will let you know what I discover.

1. Looks like a good time to start watching the New Battlestar Galactica - woot!
2. Do you have to do anything special in order to get that channel? I had access to it for the first couple of weeks, and then it went away. I went to DirecTV’s website, but that channel does not appear to be listed any where as a premium pay channel…

Shawn, you need to call them up and spring for the HD + package or something…all the HD channels without a corresponding SD channel are extra now, except HDNet.
They should give you 3 months free though, which they did for me.

Also Shawn, go rent the mini-series…or let me see if I have it at home, I think I lost season 1 somewhere along the way.
Will do - I thought we had already done that but maybe not. They’ve done a few screwing things with my account in the past - like over-charging me for things and then having to credit my account back. Sometimes they can be a little flaky…

Yeah I remember looking around for that 33 ep =/
