NBC LogoNBC was the first to announce last week that they would begin streaming some of the classic TV shows on their family of websites including,, and beginning this month. CBS followed suit by posting full seasons of several of its classic TV programs in high quality on

The only thing I can say is that I wonder what took so long. The networks have had these shows for a long time and most of them have been out of syndication as well. With the proliferation of video sites half the episodes were probably already available online anyway. At least now the networks will be able to control the quality of the shows and make a little bit of money from advertising at the same time. It’s good for the consumers (viewers) as well as we now have access to some classic shows that we might not have been able to watch before.
