Dawson’s Creek’s Joshua Jackson joins ‘Fringe’

The new science fiction series on FOX called Fringe, from mega producer/writer/director J.J. Abrams, has finished casting for the top three roles.

Welcome back Joshua Jackson, from the legendary Dawson’s Creek television series which I’m happy to say I’ve never seen an episode of it.

Jackson has been relatively unseen in the years since Dawson’s Creek, but he is in the upcoming horror film, Shutter, which is opening on March 21st.

Fringe centers on a young female FBI agent who is forced to confront the spread of unexplained phenomena and work with an institutionalized scientist whose work might be at the center of the coming storm, along with dealing with his troubled son.

John Noble plays the scientist named Walter Bishop, while Anna Torv will be the FBI agent.

Jackson will play Bishop’s son, Peter, a high school dropout with a gambling problem and 190 IQ.

The series premieres this fall with an estimated $10 million pilot episode.
