Matthew Fox Says 4 More “Lost” Episodes

Lost Cast Season 4
Collider.com is reporting that they’re at the press junket for “Vantage Point” and Matthew Fox is talking about “Lost.”

Fox was asked what would happen to the rest of the season (the 8 unwritten episodes) if the writer’s strike were to be resolved this weekend or sometime soon. He replied that the rumor is the show would go back into production immediately with the goal to shoot 4 to 6 episodes of the remaining 8 that were scheduled.

Fox was then asked if the writers would try to shrink down the story from the eight episodes and make it fit in the 4 or 6 that they would shoot and Fox said that he would have to ask Damon (Lindelof, one of the producers).

So it looks like there will be a total of either 12 or 14 episodes this year and not the full 16 that we had been hoping for. Still, even 12 is better than just 8.

We’ll keep you informed if we hear more.

  1. I’m afraid I Lost all interest in Lost when it was admitted that the writers didn’t know how they’d finish the series early on i.e. they were making their guff up as they went along.

  2. Well, they might not have known what they were doing in the beginning but they seem to have a pretty good idea now. It’s been quite good lately. You should give it another shot.

  4. I have a love-hate relationship with Lost. I love the show, but they rarely answer any of the number of questions that are out there. They always just seem to introduce more doubt and more questions. That being said, I will be tuned in for the next episode.

  5. Looks like I will have to go cold turkey again for my Lost addiction. Silly writers strike should have been resolved weeks ago. This is not the first show to suffer.
