*as with The Amazing Race recaps, spoilers likely*
Alright, so you’ve seen the first episode of Survivor: Micronesia, Fans vs Favorites…and are likely surprised in how the end played out.
I’m sure the producers of the show are also reeling a bit, considering one of the more controversial players in the history of Survivor decided to up and quit after crying like a baby for the last 20 minutes of the episode.
So long Johnny Fairplay…you could have been great, instead you quit just like Susan before you. (At least, I seem to remember Susan quitting?)
Despite missing the first 20 minutes due to a TIVO miscalculation on what was actually being recorded, I did get into it. One thing to note:
Jeff is doing to drive me crazy if he keeps calling the teams Fans! Favorites! all season long during challenges. Last night was only the first one and I had to cover my ears.
“Fans take the lead! Fans already have their bridge built! The Favorites are catching up! The Favorites can’t figure out the lousy puzzle wheels! Fans! Favorites! Fans! Favorites!”
Somewhere dueling banjos just played in my head.
