New ‘Wanted’ trailer with Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy
It’s sort of caught me by surprise, but one of the movies I’m starting to look forward to more and more is Wanted, the adaptation of the graphic novel by the same name. It’s actually made me want to go out and grab a copy and see what made it so awesome that it deserved a big screen version, but from the trailers for it, I think I understand why.
Wanted stars Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman. A nice cast definitely, but the plot and story looks pretty exciting.
McAvoy plays Wesley, a guy who apparently has the skillz to be a super-assassin, but is clueless is about it and pretty much a complete loser. The basic idea that Wesley goes from zero to hero after learning his destiny and what talents he possesses. The murder of his father causes a woman named Fox (Jolie) to recruit him into the Fraternity, a group of truly sick assassins.
This trailer is pretty awesome and the action looks like it’s going to be great. This movie pops out at me sort of like Jumper did. I just totally get hooked on these kinds of superhero-ish action films.
It hits theaters on June 27th.

I’m actually really *not* looking forward to this movie as they’ve so radically changed the story. If it were an original piece with this trailer, I’d be thrilled by the prospect of it, but as it stands I’m just sad they abandoned the very fresh take Millar brought to tights and fights.
