Tom Cruise and business partner Paula Wagner who now run the United Artists studio under MGM have enlisted the executive producer of “Battlestar Galactica,” Ronald D. Moore, to create and write an original sci-fi trilogy for the studio. Details of the project are being kept under wraps.
Moore has written extensively for TV and film, with feature credits on the upcoming The Thing as well as previous credits on Mission: Impossible II (on which he worked with Cruise and Wagner), Star Trek: First Contact and Star Trek: Generations. Moore was also a writer-producer on the “Star Trek: Next Generation” TV series and is the co-creator, writer and exec producer on the new “Battlestar Galactica,”
Original sci-fi, it seems, is on the rise and United Artists could use a hit trilogy. Their first release under Cruise’s leadership was Lions For Lambs which was a huge box office disappointment. Their next release is the WWII thriller, Valkyrie, which has already been delayed several times and is now set to open next February.

And he’s writing for Vituality…
Pretty amazing how long he’s been around…The Next Generation? I totally forgot about that.
This is interesting…hopefully being under Cruise’s leadership doesn’t mean it’s a scienTOLOGY trilogy…
Is that a picture of Al Snow, from WWF/ECW/WWE?
Personally, I think he should trim up the sides and just run with the mullet. One should not fear the mullet but rather embrace it.
Hey come on. The guy works too much to get a hair cut. Leave him alone.
Maybe he cant afford a haircut…? Just a thought…
