There is some potentially big news coming from Ausiello at TVGuide, followed up by Kristin at E! Online, and of course, regurgitated by me for you guys here.
We’ve all been told that we’d only get 5 more episodes of Lost to finish the season, which would be three short of the 16 promised when they decided to end the show in three years.
Well, the Lost producers apparently want to add a 14th hour to this season, turning the season finale into a TWO-HOUR episode!
Alright, I’m going to pause for a second so that those of you that just passed out can recover and then get back to reading this article.
So now that I got your hopes up, there are roadblocks that could stop it. While both sides, the producers and ABC themselves want this to happen, schedules have been made already, and adding a second hour on May 22nd (when the finale it set to air) could be problematic.
There is also uncertainty if this would just be an extra episode, or would it be a massive two hour episode?
Either way, I hope this happens. This season has been so frakkin’ good that one more hour of Lost would be awesome.
WOOT - let’s hope that they can shuffle stuff around. After all, it it LOST and I am guessing that they make ABC massive cash.

Maybe with Scrubs going to ABC, Lost will go to NBC and get another hour added…?
They should just tell whatever show is in the way of the two hour finale to “get Lost.”

The odds on this happening I think are very good. Just move Eli Stone to another time/day–there are plenty of crappy repeats ABC can shift around for their cash cow.
Well since we wont see 24 till next season, perhaps it should be 24 months till you see this show again
