Ultimate Bad Ass: The Women’s Bracket

This is perhaps my favorite bracket so far, and I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s the fact that Lara Croft, Kara Thrace and Sarah Connor could all kick my butt and I’d have ZERO problem with that.

#1 Ripley versus #8 La femme Nikita

The alien killer against the sexy assassin.

#3 Sydney Bristow versus #6 The Bride

Sidney from Alias, another spy, squares off against The Bride from Kill Bill. Yikes, this would be a brutal fight.

#2 Sarah Connor versus #7 River Tam

The woman who teaches John Connor to fight against the machines, battles the delicate, but super-deadly River Tam from Firefly.

#4 Kara Thrace versus #5 Lara Croft

Kara from BSG is the best Viper pilot in the galaxy, but can also kick some butt with her fists, while Lara Croft is the Indiana Jones of her gender.

I'm having a tough time choosing between Sydney and The Bride...that may have made a better 4-5 matchup.

Not to mention she took on the Crazy 88's by herself and then faced O-Ren Ishii and kicked her butt as well...hands down I think she will win the women's bracket and there are probably several in the mens bracket that she could whip too.

@Ape - Wow, you are predicting The Bride beats out Ripley too?

The Bride is the biggest bad ass in this bracket and should have been ranked higher. That being said, I did have a tough time choosing between The Bride and Sydney Bristow, but not based on how "bad" their asses are :-) There's just something about that Sydney Bristow :-)

Wow, so I gave her a lower seeding than she deserved...well, that happens I guess. Should be interesting to see a #6 in the finals.

#6 does seem pretty low right now.

@ Scotty - Not sure how Ripley can "pale"...I mean, she single handedly kills like a bazillion aliens, not to mention starring down the mother bug and pumping grenades into her...

@ Mike - yeah, I think the Bride can take on any of the women and probably most of the men in their bracket. She is going to go Ginsu Knife all over the competition...

@Mike -just because she can fire a weapon, doesn't make her the baddestass, at least for me. The other two, were good with weapons as well as hand to hand combat. Just my .02. ;-)

Kory, you should see Kill Bill...at least, the first volume is awesome and action-packed, the second is a bit slower.

Worth it though.

Yeah - watch Kill Bill - both movies. They are both good. I think I actually like the second half a bit better than the first. But overall it is a good movie.

I chose Sydney, she looks strikingly like Electra, so I'm thinking they might be twins at heart, and with that, she would certainly have some mad skillz.... :)
