Scarecrow? Yeah, the one from Scarecrow and Mrs. King.
I never watched the series, so the name Bruce Boxleitner didn’t mean a thing to me at first. But he starred in Scarecrow and Mrs. King during the series television run from 1983 to 1987.
The Ausiello Report claims he’s been cast in a recurring, top-secret role that was originally meant to mimic Senator John McCaine. Since then it’s been “reconceived” and all Ausiello knows it that he’ll be sharing scenes with a female regular.
One might think after the Brea Grant news yesterday, that suddenly Heroes has lost its mind and is casting a whole new class of sucky new people to annoy us with.
Ausiello asked the same question, but his source says that’s definitely NOT the case. The series will still be focusing on their core group, but a few new characters are needed to make plots work.
That’s a relief, but I’m still uncertain about next season. I was so in love with this show in season 1, but once the finale disappointed me, it’s really never recaptured that original uniqueness and fun.
Come on Tim Kring, get it back on track!

Dude…that’s Captain John Sheridan. He saved (err..will save) us all from the Shadows, the Vorlons, and the tyrannical regime of President Clark!
You never heard of Bruce Boxleitner? He was on “Babylon 5″, as the Captain. He is an under-rated talent and a very good actor. With the exception of “Babylon 5″, he hasn’t gotten the roles he deserves, but perhaps this character on Hero’s will remind everyone how talented he really is. I for one will be looking forward to seeing him on TV again. BTW, he is married to Melissa Gilbert from “Little House On The Prairie.”

Wow, I was in love with Melissa Gilbert for awhile there on Little House
Yeah, I never watched Babylon 5, so I guess I’ve somehow missed him over the years.
Little Laura Ingalls? I’m not really sure where to start.
Now the older sister (name?), now she was hot.

Mike: Maybe you can watch “Babylon 5″ on DVD? It is worth it. The writing is excellent and you can really enjoy the characters/acting and story if you are into Sci Fi. I still think it is one of the best Sci Fi TV shows that has ever come out.

Mary was the older sister… and wasn’t she blind? I guess that works, Scott. Oh, snap.
Laura grew up after awhile Scotty…she wasn’t always the young girl in the first season.
I think I was her age anyways, so you wouldn’t understand being older and into blind chicks.
@ Raven - I think I may try to watch it sometime, I did hear it was pretty good from a few people, although my mom loves it, so who knows
Jina said oh snap…and made fun of blind Mary Ingalls…lol
Mike: Your mom must be cool!
Raven Spinners last blog post..My Alternatives to Plastic!
Well, I can’t get her to watch Lost or BSG, so she’s only KINDA cool
She is missing out then. I got my Mom to watch Lost.
She must be KINDA cool too.

Wow, let’s pile on Scotty Dub. lol
Actually Mary went blind, but wasn’t for most of the show, although a blind girl wouldn’t bother me…just a bit messier than most.

Name didn’t mean anything to you? C’mon!
Before Scarecrow and Mrs. King he was in a little sci-fi flick called Tron. He was…oh yeah…TRON.
ROR
I remember Tron, but back then I couldn’t have cared less about actor’s names
See, Bruce is just cool, but in his career, I think he get’s looked over sometimes. It doesn’t make sense to me because he is a really talented actor. “Babylon 5″ just happens to be my favorite show he was in. Oh yeah, “Tron”, I totally forgot about that. I think I was like 7 when that came out, so I wouldn’t have paid attention to his name either.
