Defiance is one of those films that could potentially be up there with the likes of Schindler’s List and The Pianist in the genre of Holocaust movies.
Granted, all I’ve seen are trailers, but the buzz about Defiance is growing and the release date of December 12th just makes it all the more likely to be an Oscar contender. It stars Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber and Jamie Bell.
Here’s the plot:
“Three Jewish brothers (Craig, Schreiber and Bell) escape from Nazi-occupied Poland into the Belarussian forest, where they join Russian resistance fighters and endeavor to build a village in order to protect themselves and others in danger.”
I am a huge fan of Craig and Schreiber, but you also get Edward Zwick, the director of Glory, Blood Diamond, Legends of the Fall and The Last Samurai.
Watch the trailer below and I dare you to not get goosebumps from it, and then check out the new poster for the film below.

I took your challenge and lost - gave me goosebumps too.
These are the types of movies that I absolutely love - should be excellent. I am definitely looking forward to this one and it appears to be a must see in the theater as well. I wonder if the Cine Capri will show it.

I've been waiting for this one for a while now. I think it's going to be really good.
