On Friday the 13th, MTV posted some video from the set of the remake of Friday the 13th (a true marketing genius thought that one up). The video gives a first look at some of the behind the scenes shooting of the film as well as a close-up of the famous hockey mask that Jason Voorhees will wear to slaughter unsuspecting teenagers.
The Marcus Nispel directed horror film stars Jared Padalecki, Amanda Righetti, Danielle Panabaker, Travis van Winkle, Aaron Yoo, Jonathan Sadowski, Willa Ford, Derek Mears and Arlen Escarpeta (don’t worry, we don’t know them either).
Friday the 13th is set to open on February 13, 2009 (yep, a Friday the 13th).

LOL, what was with all the scary music…kind of a cheesy promo for it, but I guess the mask looked cool.
I do like Jared Padalecki, from Gilmore Girls and the current Supernatural.
Really…?
Shouldn't there be some Federal limit on how many Friday the 13th movies a single country can have?
You don't know who Jared Padalecki and Amanda Righetti are? You should really catch up on your CW/Fox teen shows!
By the way, isn't the guy who plays Jason the same guy who played Sloth on the Goonies? hehe…
I second that motion!!!
I'm a big horror fan, but come on… seriously….
The Goonies I could handle having a sequel. Lets see Jason has been to Hell, outer space, fought freddy Krueger, this will be the 12th version that has to be some kind of record.
He hasn't taken on O.J. yet…
Thats it O.J. finally tracks down the real killer on a golf retreat and its Jason
I think everything stars over and you get a free pass to do whatever you want as long as you say you are “reimagining” the movie and not just making another sequel.
Well - it is probably more to soothe their conscious than anything. I think it's a racket.
lol
You know…I've never seen a Jason movie. He really went to outer space???
Yeah - Jason killed Space…
and video killed the radio star…
and MTV killed the video format…
Well look, you just GOT to have MTV cribs… got to….thats WAY more important than any ole music
And reality TV killed MTV.
It's nearly killed reality…
What?!
Did I stutter?
LOL! It's amazing what people find entertaining.
I find myself entertaining…ok, that's a wee bit narcissistic…
