The foreign “Wanted” poster rocks

I’m starting to come to the conclusion that we here in America get the bottom of the barrel when it comes to movie trailers and posters. It seems like the international versions have all the goods, be it a sexy preview that couldn’t make it past the MPAA over here, or posters that for some reason just LOOK better.

For example, the Russian red band trailer for Wanted just blew all the others out of the water. Now we get a newly released foreign poster for Wanted, which I think is in Russian, but I can’t be sure.

Either way, it is just better than any I’ve seen for the film so far. What do you think?

  1. What's up with her creepy right hand? Or is that a spoiler alert?

  2. Wow, nice eye, I didn't even notice that…

Yeah, what the frak is that? I don't remember anything from the novel. It sure does look weird.

  3. I don't know what's up with the hand, but this poster is a bit too cartoonish for my tastes…man I'm such a curmudgeon…

  4. I don't see the cartoonish look, but I'm starting to think maybe Jolie's hand just looks that way :)

  5. I think it's a pretty sweet poster.

And Angelina is trying to make the Vulcan “live long and prosper sign” but is having a hard time getting her fingers to close. Hey, she's gotta do something to pass the time.

  6. Hey Curmudgeon… I don't really care for the poster either… although now I am intrigued by any and all physical disfigurements of Angelina Jolie.

  7. I think it looks cartoonish to me because it's hand drawn? I don't know - just looks weird.

  8. How can you guys NOT like that poster? What is wrong you people???

    :)

  9. Let's take a vote. With her hand like that how many guys would still jump at the chance???

My guess is that they'd just have her handcuffed so it wouldn't touch them. :)

  10. I like it. :) Now I'm going to be looking for her hand in the commercials.

  11. I would

  12. It's Vietnamese. Russian has no U, S, R, or accented A. :)

  13. Thank you!

  14. <—– raises hand

  15. lol!

  16. No thanks…

  17. From an “artistic perspective” I think it's awesome. The angle of the viewer is great and the directions they are looking in are great
