Now that we’ve all seen the incredibly cool teaser trailer for Watchmen (you’ve seen it, right?), I’m starting to get pretty excited. I haven’t even read the famous graphic novel it’s based on, but I still can’t wait to see the film. The movie version has been a LONG time in the making and it looks like the wait was worth it. The film was also heavily promoted at Comic-Con. Part of that promotion included these 8 new posters.
The images you see below are actually pictures taken of the posters that were at Comic-Con. FirstShowing posted these from Omelete as the actual posters haven’t been released to the public yet. I hope they release them because they’re incredibly cool.

It’s likely we’ll start seeing some actual posters get released fairly soon and they may or may not look like these. I personally really like the artwork they’ve done here as they seem to tie the movie in nicely with the graphic novel as well as the ’80s time period.
What do you think?
Watchmen is directed by Zack Snyder and written by David Hayter and Alex Tse. It’s set to hit theaters everywhere on March 6th, 2009.

Hey those are neat!
I like the bottom left one.
I like the Rorschach one…perfectly captures who he is.
Was there an earlier poster that simply said “Who Watches the Watchmen?” If not, I can't believe they didn't lead with that one.
I don't recall an earlier poster that said that, but I could be wrong.
