Maverick, say it aint so: A Top Gun sequel?
According to rumored reports, Tom Cruise is the only hold up for a sequel to the hit fighter-pilot film, Top Gun.
Sadly there are no additional rumors about this being a total joke. Because really, isn’t that what it is?
Now, don’t get me wrong, this would probably make a bunch of cash and possibly restore Cruise’s fractured public image. Maybe.
But is there no movie we hold sacred anymore that filmmakers wont screw up by adding a sequel?
Here are the details about what the plot of Top Gun 2 might be:
“The idea is Maverick is at the Top Gun school as an instructor — and this time it is he who has to deal with a cocky new female pilot.”
Ah…the tables have turned…the student has become the master, yadda, yadda, yadda. There definitely are no new ideas in Hollywood these days.
Let me guess, they end up sleeping together? Ding! Ding! Ding! I win, guess I’ll skip the movie.
Argh…what do you guys think? Honestly…a Top Gun sequel?

Perhaps… and maybe its a small chance, but perhaps…we might see maverick jumping on a couch professing his love for the new pilot….
Ok seriously, heres why I want to see it. Titanic. How would you evver go see a movie based on us knowing how its gonna end. I still dont get highest grossing movie ever.. its a made up story on how we all know its going to end. The day the Earth Stood Still. do we really need a remake?!?! Hmmm actually, you see that trailer, looks good. Damn good. why not have a Top gun sequel. These are characters we are already familiar with and in fact we even like. Why not have a continuing story so we can follow our famaliar freinds in whatever they do next? and ya gotta have the love story, its how the chicks are going to go see it too, you know, like Mo…
Alright, alright, alright! I'm on board for this movie and lemme tell you why.
Besides the cocky female pilot who does things her own way, there are like seven other hawt, tall female pilots. And there's a volleyball scene. You see where I'm goin' here?

And THIS comes after I pay for your friggin' Dark Knight IMAX ticket…
I get no respect! 
A TG sequel isn't the worst idea in the world, altho it may be close, but the proposed plot sounds so silly I can't imagine anyone would go for it.
Didn't you read what I wrote about women playing volleyball? They've gotta shower off after, don't they? Geez!

The “premise” of the story is so words can't describe how cheesy that is, its like the spinoff character Poochy from the Simpsons to the max. I guess at least it isn't his “son who plays by his own rules.” I think I will become a scientologist if Cruise says no to this film just as my way of saying thanks. I think the woman/girl (probably a girl) would be plucky not cocky.
