I have to admit that I eventually watched Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle and I even laughed some. And for a while there it looked like the sequel, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, was going to be a huge hit. But, like many things that get massive buzz online, it wasn’t to be.
Well, that isn’t exactly true. The truth is, the second film had a budget of about $12M and grossed just over $40M worldwide (do they even allow this type of film outside the states?) which means that it’s going to make a lot of easy money for sure once it hits DVD (which it’s doing next week). That, of course, means there will be yet a third Harold & Kumar film. The studio already has options on everyone, and, heck, they’re not doing anything else so why not spend a few million and get everyone together for a few months?
There’s no word on what the plot will be (probably because they have no idea), but I’m guessing it will somehow involved Harold & Kumar trying to get high. That’s just a guess. Also no word on whether or not Neil Patrick Harris will be reprising his role as…himself. But you gotta figure anything they pay you to play yourself can’t be all that bad even if the self you’re playing isn’t really your real self at all…did I say that right?
Look for this to hit theaters and then DVD within about two weeks of each other in a year or two.

… “but I’m guessing it will somehow involved Harold & Kumar trying to get high. “.. LOL…. I never had any interest in these films, not much into films that glorify drug use and make it appear funny because people are wasted and its fun to see them do stooipd things… next…
I thought the first one was pretty good but the 2nd just dragged. It was so boring. I thought the airport and flying scenes were funny. But the rest of it was just eh. I stopped watching half way through.
Were you in the theater and walked out?
D/L it.
oh…
Yea… I know. Piracy bad.
Bad Sean Bad…
I'm tired of these mary jane movies.
