Firefly (Blu-Ray) is Back on for 2008 and Available for Pre-Order!

The musical chairs being played by the production company behind the Firefly Blu-Ray release may finally be over.

We first heard it was September, then Digital Bits reported that 2009 would be the soonest we saw it, and now Fox has announced the official release date for the highly anticipated complete series in high definition:

November 11th.

It’s available now for pre-order on Amazon.com and the new features including in this three-disc set sounds pretty awesome, especially the all-new cast reunion interviews and commentaries.

It just might be enough to get me back looking for a PS3!

Here are the details:

Fox will present Firefly on Blu-ray in widescreen 1.78:1 1080p video and 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio spanning three BD-50 discs.

DISC 1

  • Serenity (Part 1 & 2) with Commentary by executive producer Joss Whedon and actor Nathan Fillion
  • The Train Job with Commentary by executive producers Joss Whedon and Tim Minear
  • Bushwacked
  • Shindig with Commentary by writer Jane Espenson, actress Morena Baccarin and costume designer Shawna Trpcic
