Smallville is like Prison Break for me: A bad habit that I in no way can get rid of because I have to see it through ’til the end.
So any news about it I reluctantly have to read and of course pass on to you guys, because I know there are more of you like me out there.
With the loss of Lex Luthor this coming season, there is a big gaping hole in the villain department. They’ve added Doomsday played by Sam Witwer and Tess Mercer, the beautiful woman in charge of Lex’s estate while he is away.
Now they’ve added another female baddie to the mix: Maxima, who will be played by Charlotte Sullivan.
According to TV.com and DC Comics lore, Maxima is another alien in humanoid form who arrives at Earth looking for a mate. Armed with the same powers as Clark, she soon finds him the ideal candidate.
But he turns her down (Lingering Lana issues?) and she becomes enraged. She can fly, has super-strength and telekinesis as some of her abilities.
We’ll get to see her for the first time around episode four.
So now Clark has to face quite a few bad guys, and there is also word that some of those familiar superfriends will return, like The Green Arrow, The Flash and others.
For you comic book junkies out there with Superman knowledge at your fingertips, how do you feel about the addition of Maxima?
maxima is not even a top 10 villian for ole Supes… but they are proly trying to explore offberat villians to fill the blank and be somewhat of a challnege for Clark this season with the departure of Lex. have to see how this story plays out….
