It’s such a blast being alive these days to watch these huge blockbuster films on giant movie screens. This summer I got to see The Dark Knight on an IMAX screen, and then the next day, I saw it on a smaller, normal one, that was still one of the biggest screens in the state.
For me, seeing a movie at the theater is still one of the best ways to enjoy a film. Yeah, these days it sucks at times because of the crowds of ignorant, thoughtless people out there who can ruin an entire movie for you just because they wont shut up.
But if you could find a place where the people were just like you and wanted to enjoy the film in peace and quiet, I think most of us would love to see it on the big screen.
That leads me to the Friday question:
If you could bring back one movie to watch up on the big screen one more time, what would it be?
This is a tough question and a ton of answers come to mind. I think the first one I thought of, for some reason, was Back to the Future. I saw it for the first time on DVD and never had a chance to catch it in the theaters. The two sequels I did see at the theaters.
It would be pretty awesome to get a nicely restored, remastered version shown at the Cine Capri (Big screen here in Phoenix).
What about you guys? And I want to hear from all our RSS subscribers out there…I know a bunch of you read, but never visit…today is the day!

I'd have to say Top Gun… afterall we know Maverick can go Supersonic and be here in 30 seconds…
The Godfather?
Dark City or Tron
Dark City or Tron
Top gun is a great answer! I personally would choose Braveheart because it's my favorite movie of all time and I didn't see it on the big screen.
You didn't see Braveheart on the big screen! SACRILEGE!!
in no particular order
Top Gun
1) Dark City (still looking for a DVD here in the Philippines, so hard to find T_T )
2) The Never-Ending Story
3) Timecop
4) Highlander (any movie releases :p )
5) ET
6) Ghostbusters
7) Indiana Jones (all of it :p )
9) Independence Day
10) Judge Dredd
11) Jumanji
12) Jurassic Park (and sequels)
13) Mission Impossible
I actually saw Top Gun at the original Cine Capri. Amazing.
Awesome…. coolest thing I ever saw at original Cina Capri aside from Star wars, was a special shopwing of Spartacus and its 4 hour glory with an intermission…
I've seen a ton of stuff there…Jurassic Park, the first 5 Trek films at a marathon showing once, both Back to the Futures, the original Star Wars films at another marathon…and a host of other ones. Used to love that place, was really bummed when they decided to tear it down.
I saw Gone with the Wind in the theater a while back. It was amazing.
A while back? Like before we met? That was a LONG time ago.
Yeah, before we met. I was still in high school. So maybe 97, 98? The Arbor theater was showing it for some reason…
