Watchmen poster design taken from DC’s 1986 versions

The Cap’n sent in this tidbit last yesterday and I just had to pass it on. Not sure how many fans of the Watchmen graphic novel realized this when they saw the latest posters for the upcoming movie, but they were all echoes of what DC published in 1986.

Trailer Addict put these up after Plasmic Studios did a pretty sweet flash fade-in for each of the below posters. It’s worth a look-see.

The posters on the left are from 1986, the ones on the right were just revealed at Comic-Con. Pretty awesome the way Zach Snyder is really trying to keep everything about this movie exactly like the original graphic novel.

  1. Cool matchups! =)

  2. I think that's awesome! … and I really know nothing about all of this Watchmen stuff. Just cool to see the attention to detail in movie-making (or poster-making).
