The art department working on Blindness must be working overtime to be putting out all these incredibly cool posters. I find it slightly ironic for some reason that a film about blindness has one of the best looking ad campaigns I’ve seen all year.
I like a lot of the elements of this poster. I like how they took all the names and info that are normally at the very bottom and ran them around the edges of the poster creating a sort of frame. I think the color of the title blends perfectly with what little color is in the rest of the poster and all the colors allow the beautiful color of Julianne Moore’s eyes to shine accentuating the fact that she alone can see. I also like how every couple of letters in the title is blurred. I think the hands on the face are a nice touch and indicates a sort of intimacy. Really nice.
Blindness stars Mark Ruffalo, Julianne Moore, Danny Glover, Alice Braga, and Gael Garcia Bernal and opens in theaters on September 19, 2008.
