It’s been awhile since we had any good Battlestar Galactica news, and while some of you may not care, it left me with an empty feeling deep inside my soul.
But thanks to TV Guide, I’ve got some stuff to pass on to you guys about the unamed BSG movie that started filming in Vancouver this week.
First off, as we’ve been slowly finding out, this movie will be a Cylon-centric story that takes place sometime during the series run.
The cast confirmed for the film: Edward James Olmos (Admiral Adama), Michael Trucco (Sam Anders), Aaron Douglas (Chief Tyrol) and Dean Stockwell (Brother Cavil) Tricia Helfer (Caprica/No. 6), Grace Park (Boomer/Athena), Callum Keith Rennie (Leoben), Rick Worthy (Simon) and Michael Hogan (Tigh).
As you can see from the list, it’s all Cylons except for Adama, even if a few of them may not realize they’re Cylons yet.
Makes you kind of wonder why Adama is on it, but yeah, it probably doesn’t mean anything. Probably.
No word yet on when the movie will premiere, or when we’ll get the webisodes that have been promised.
On a side note, the rumor about BSG’s final episodes not showing until April of 2009 was just bad information. We’ll get them starting in January.
