Vince Vaughn had a pretty fair hit with Jennifer Aniston in The Break Up so I guess he figured teaming up with another cute actress for a comedy might not be a bad idea. This time around he’s paired with Reese Witherspoon in a holiday film that reminds us all that nothing says Christmas like a family ravaged by divorce and broken homes.

When upscale, happily unmarried San Francisco couple Kate and Brad find themselves socked in by fog on Christmas morning, their exotic vacation plans morph into the family-centric holiday they had, until now, gleefully avoided. Out of obligation – and unable to escape – they trudge to not one, not two, but four relative-choked festivities, increasingly mortified to find childhood fears raised, adolescent wounds reopen…and their very future together uncertain. As Brad counts the hours to when he can get away from their parents, step-parents, siblings and an assortment of nieces and nephews, Kate is starting to hear the ticking of a different kind of clock. And by the end of the day, she is beginning to wonder if their crazy families’ choices are not so crazy after all.
The only things that really give me hope for this film is the great cast they put together and the fact that it’s directed by Seth Gordon who also directed the surprisingly entertaining King Of Kongs.
Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon are joined by Robert Duvall, Kristin Chenoweth, Jon Favreau (hey, he still acts!), Mary Steenburgen, Dwight Yoakam, Sissy Spacek, Tim McGraw, and Brian Baumgartner.
Four Christmases is set for release on a very crowded November 26, 2008.

Love it! Sounds like a holiday I once had
Nice cast too…I love how Vaughn and Favreau stick together in these films…
She looks like a pixie standing next to him in that poster.
He took her out of his pocket for the shoot.
Vince Vaughn should to win “The Most Spaztastic” award every year… whether he makes a movie that year or not
