Hide the Cougar Traps: Kim Bauer is Back!

The above photo is enhanced for your enjoyment (used to be a bit too dark). It’s a screenshot from that infamous episode of 24 where Kim Bauer is caught in an animal trap, and instead of eating her, this cougar just continued on his way.

It was one of the low points of 24 in the entire history of the show. In fact, if I remember correctly, most of us were PRAYING that cougar would eat her right then and there, and spare us episodes and episodes of pain and torture.

Well, the pain is returning, according to Michael Ausiello.

Elisha Cuthbert has signed a contract to appear in a season-ending arc on 24, complete with a new child, but minus her old boyfriend (C. Thomas Howell).

So Jack’s a grandpa now. Can you still be a grandpa and kick as much ass as Bauer does?

Yes. But only if you are Jack Bauer.

What do you guys think? She’s returned once before (if memory serves), but are you game for a third appearance?

Will the grandkid end up being Jack Bauer Jr.?

  1. Look on the brightside, knowing the 24 writers, they're bringing her back to kill her off!

  2. Then next season will be 24: Jack Changes Diapers

  3. I am already dreading seeing her on the show. Her character, Kim, was always so whiney. Ugh…

  4. YES! That would be AWESOME!!!

  5. Fucking asshole should have put spoiler alert the show is all about surprises and now there is none about her kid…. Fuck you

  6. People post casting news all the time, if you read the title “Kim Bauer is Back”, you probably already knew it was about 24 and should have skipped it.

If this was as big a surprise as you are making it out to be, which it is NOT, they'd have kept it quiet.

  7. As long as they put her in something tight, revealing, and bouncy like that “wife beater” t-shirt from S-1, it's all good. The problem with her last two appearances in the show was she was dressed in a stupid business suit. You don't need Elisha Cuthbert for that; just wasting her best assets as an actress.

  8. Bravo, that's worth a point right there :)

  9. Kim adds an element to Jack's character, that no other character is capable of - she's his daughter. Bringing Kim back is a great idea because it makes Jack seem much more realistic.
