NBC Premieres Five Shows on Hulu a Week Early

No matter how much I’ll always be bitter at NBC for canceling Journeyman, they do seem to know what they are doing when it comes to online content.

Instead of shirking away from streaming their shows for free online, they are now taking an even bigger step forwards. Five NBC shows that premiere in the next two months can be seen a week early right there on Hulu.

Knight Rider, Lipstick Jungle, 30 Rock, Chuck and Life will all be on Hulu a week before their respective premiere dates. Two of those I could do without, but the others are three of my favorite shows.

Gutsy stuff from NBC to give away an entire episode before it ever airs on television.

But Hulu has another cool feature for you guys:

Though some of your favorites — series like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and 30 Rock — don’t come until later in the season, our subscription feature means you won’t miss an episode. You can subscribe to a series from our Fall Premiere Lineup page: Simply click on “Subscribe to episodes” for the shows you’re interested in, and new episodes will be added to your queue as soon as they’re made available through Hulu. If you want to be notified when new videos are placed in your queue, you can activate our once-daily Queue Updates from the Subscriptions tab within your Hulu Profile.

Awesome. I’ve never tested the queue before, but I just might for the Fall TV season.

So what do you guys think? Will you be flocking to Hulu to catch these early?

  1. While I like the idea, I don't know if I will watch them ahead of time. I just really like watching things on TV… and I can't get in to watching them on a computer.
