No recaps from last night, but there was a ton of stuff on, including the two-hour season premiere of Heroes, then a much better episode of The Sarah Connor Chronicles, plus Prison Break, One Tree Hill, How I Met Your Mother and Gossip Girl.
What do you think of the episodes and premieres last night?
I only watched The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother.
I have to say, The Big Bang Theory is really hitting its stride. I laughed out loud several times. It was really funny. The actors all have great chemistry and the show works on a lot of different levels.
It was also really fun to have How I Met Your Mother back. The show picked up right where it left off. It always tries to balance the emotional (sort of) with the comedy and it did a pretty decent job. I thought it was pretty funny, though not one of the best episodes ever. Still one of the best sitcoms that's not called 30 Rock or The Office.
Heck we almost need 2 DVR's in our house last night (which is the equivalent of one Ana). I recorded most things as I was tuned in to 3 hours of juicy Heroes (wow what a premiere gal and episode), and then flipping from commericals to the football game.
I recorded Sarah Conner (thought I dont know why, the show really has never been good), and then a few chick items for Mrs. Cap'n, Gossip Girl, One tree Hill, and Dancing with the Stars. Tonight is Fringe, Wednesday is Knight Rider, Thursday is Smallvile, Fridays will be Life (after it premieres on Mondays….for whatever reason)
What did you think of Heroes? I'm still not sure WHO or WHY Tracy/Nikki is on the show, she's just annoying as heck. I wish she'd died in that fire last year.
But the rest was fantastic. I'm glad Mohinder isn't just a sideshow puppet now, although his quick change to “wanting” powers was almost too quick.
I think Tracy/Nikki has a power like Micahel Keaton (gosh hes making the mention on PC here today) in duplicity. I think there are multiple copies of her, each can do something unique. so I think Nikki is dead Jim, and Tracy is someone different with her own power that is cool (ha get it!).

Yeah Mohinder jumped the gun in his eagerness to be like the others, and appears to be , well, developing unwanted symptoms…. TREMENDOUS all around episodes last night. The tough par tto realize is , remember Sylar is badass, but when they held him, they only held HIM on level 2… there are dudes on LEVEL 5 for crying out loud!!!!! Oh my….. So if future Peter dumped present day Peter into the body of a level 5 bad guy and he is now runningn around with them trying to figure stuff out, he is going to absorb all of their powers, hes going to be THE badass, right? And the whole Claire/Sylar scene was gross…
I think I missed like four or five of the last episodes of the season of Heroes last year so I didn't even bother trying to watch last night. I think I'll just watch last season and this season on DVD and start watching again next season…if it's still around.
Didn't think about the levels at all…interesting.
I think Michael Keaton was in Multiplicity though

I think the best part is… you dont have to wait, you dont miss much of anything and should be able to pick it up this season without having watched heroes before, at least thats what they are touting….

Doh!… Well I bet they have A) an encore presentation B) can maybe see it on NBC.com? or C) Hulu?
It was, by far the best heroes of both seasons to date, you wouldnt be missing anything here… Mike wouldnt you agree?
Well, season one was awesome…and I think you need to watch it. Season two
sucked, but there ARE some things and characters from it you may want to
know, like that Sark guy from Alias which we saw in a vision last night.
Didn't watch heroes last night, will in the next week or so but still need to catch up on Fringe (not one episode yet) and some other shows as well. Watched MNF and then watched Terminator: Chronicles on DVR. I don't know its keeping me entertained, I actually like Brian AG. We will see if Shirley Manson is any good or just annoying.

I'm somewhat new to this site, but I assumed this is where I could find intelligent recaps for popular scripted shows, such as what Richard does for Burn Notice, Charlie Jade and Mad Men; Shawn for Fringe, etc.
Now I'm confused.
You didnt find intelligent recaps for ones that were done? Julie did a good job on her Gossip girl recap, and although not a recap per say we talked about heroes quite a bit in detail above… did you see it, did you like it? How about that ending eh'?

Brian AG is good, Shirley is just OKAY, I'm not thrilled. But last night's episode was better at least. A lot of tension and kind of cool that the terminators can't swim

Currently, there is some really good content here regarding film, television, Internet content, music, etc., and I thought as the new fall TV season began there would also be additional coverage of those shows and, naturally, recaps of the more interesting and high profile shows.
