If you’re a movie fan who’s always dreamed watching the stars walk down the red carpet at Hollywood’s biggest self-congratulatory party, you may be in luck. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Tuesday that 300 bleacher seats to the 2009 Oscars will be up for grabs in an online lottery.
Beginning at 9 A.M. PDT Monday, you can enter for a chance to win a seat (or seats) on the red carpet in front of the Kodak Theater for the Oscars currently scheduled for February 22, 2009 (celebrating movies from this year). The lottery will run through 9 P.M. PDT Sunday, September 28.
Applicants can register for up to four seats at http://www.oscars.org/bleachers.
It might not be as good as actually attending the ceremony, but it’s the next best thing. Don’t get TOO excited though. In previous years up to 20,000 people have applied for the available seats.
