TV Talk: Thursday Night

Well that was the most I’ve laughed on a Thursday night so far this season.

The Office delivered much better in a normal, 30-minute format and it was a welcomed sight. The scenes with Jim timing Dwight with the stopwatch were among some of the best prank-pulling stunts ever. Jim talking to Andy about Battlestar Galactica and how it’s about someone named Dumbledore trying to take a ring to Mordor had me practically rolling on the floor I was laughing so hard.

Not to mention what Meredith has been up to for the last few years. Sirloin steak anyone?

And Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update Thursday Edition was also a lot better than I expected. The opening sketch with Obama and McCain replicating the debate from the night before was pretty good.

Smallville was fun as always and I’m curious what everyone thought of Eleventh Hour. Rufus Sewell plays a scientist that is a special liason to the FBI, and in the first episode we hunt down people out to clone humans.

Did you enjoy it? Will you watch it again?

  1. Don't forget the premiere of Kath and Kim, it had a lot of the lines from the previews, but was still funny.

  2. I enjoyed the Office… although I have to admit I need to watch it again because sleep got the better of me.

  3. Smallville last night as a little light on action, with an anti climatic villian end, but big on the Lois and Clark story…. looks llike they are starting to explore that end of it…

  4. I enjoyed The Office, the ethics meeting when they were suppose to have immunity was really funny.

  5. The Battlestar Galactica reference (and all of the ones that followed) were hilarious and I was dying through the whole scene. I was so glad I got all the geeky references, though I was really hoping for some actual Battlestar references (i.e. cylons or something)

  6. “Dumbledore Calrissian” was priceless though :)
