All kinds of stuff on Wednesday nights, and while I didn’t get to Gary Unmarried yet, I did watch Friday Night Lights and Pushing Daisies, which gave us two excellent installments.
Why do I watch Gary Unmarried in the first place? I dunno, but I laugh at it. I think it’s just Jay Mohr that I like, so that’s my only real excuse. I find myself ashamed to even admit I have it as a season pass/series link on my DVR, but I’m used to getting crap from people, so what do I care?
But Friday Night Lights was fantastic. Such amazing writing and acting in this series, which is so underrated. Tears came to both my eyes and my wife’s when Smash finally got that walk-on appointment with Texas A&M. Awesome stuff. The duel brewing between Tammy and Buddy Garity/The Boosters is going to be great.
Daisies was good as always, with some laugh-out-loud lines, like “I throw up in my mouth and can’t even taste the difference”, which came from Olive of course. Hilarious show, kick-ass writing, beautifully shot…yet sometimes I find myself bored during it. Anyone else feel that way?
What did you watch on Wednesday?

I've been watching Gary Unmarried as well and have been surprised by how funny it's been. Jay Mohr is doing some of his best work.
I actually feel the same way about Pushing Daisies. I've always liked it, but don't always feel compelled to watch it…
I missed Criminal Minds last night which I normally watch, but watched CSI: NY which I normally do not watch. It was actually pretty good. Much better than CSI: Miami which I gave up on a LONG time ago.
Wednesday night = trash Knight Rider night… so I was hooked on this really bad show, they went to the beach so it was a bit baywatch-ish, so at least 30 seconds was good… I dunno why I watch it…its really bad…lol
I like Pushing Daisies because I think it is unique and very interesting story-telling, but I feel like I am getting bored of it. Kind of makes me sad. As for Olive's throw-up line, it was her delivery that sold it. Best line on TV last night.
FNL was once again great! Tyra and Riggins sitting in his living room while her sister and his brother finished up “wedding plans” was classic! Of course, the Smash storyline is great too. I love that even though they are phasing him out, they are doing it in a meaningful way.
“season pass/series link on my DVR” what is this? Watched part of Gary unmarried also. Turned the TV on and it had just started, pretty funny.
Side note Heros only has two more episodes and it is off the DVR. I am getting really tired of them jumping all over the place. Makes it hard to follow. Maybe something will happen, but i find myself searching my DVR for something to watch and if nothing is on there i will watch Heros.
Season pass/series link…I dunno what it's really called on DTV's DVR, but it just means I'm recording all episodes automatically, not doing it manually every week
Can't believe you are still watching it…last year it was Bionic Woman for you, now this
