I can’t really say I’m a big fan of Katherine Heigl. I thought she did an okay job in “Knocked Up,” but there are at least half a dozen other actresses that could have done as well. It looks like this is another one of those roles where they just plug in the hot actress of the moment and hope to make a few bucks before everyone realizes that the movie isn’t that great.
I could be wrong, of course. This could actually be a very nice, sweet, romantic comedy that’s perfect for dates because both men and women will enjoy it. Somehow I don’t think so, but…well, you never know. The poster is actually really cool.In case you’re wondering, in “27 Dresses” (official site) Katherine Heigl plays a woman who can never say no to being a bridesmaid and ends up serving as one 27 times. She is then forced to wrestle with the idea of standing by her sister’s side as her sibling marries the man she’s secretly in love with.
See, I forgot that she’s secretly in love with her sister’s fiance. That makes this fun for the whole family! I’m guessing that her sister somehow doesn’t deserve/doesn’t really love the man she’s engaged to so Katherine will somehow work up the courage to tell everyone how she feels, they’ll all realize that she’s right and they all feel the same way and the movie will end with Katherine marrying her sister’s fiance while her sister serves as her maid of honor. I’m just guessing.
