Just to make sure those of you with Blu-Ray get the best bang for your buck, Amazon.com is running a special right now through the 18th of April, where you can buy TWO Blu-Ray discs and get the third FREE.
Of course, they make it sound all cool, but the choices you have are limited to about three pages. There are some good ones of course, like 300, The Departed, Reservoir Dogs…but nothing super exciting.
Regardless, if you need or are looking to add to your library, head on over to Amazon and see if they have something you want.
If I had a Blu player, I’d buy Wild Things, Into the Blue and then my free disc would be Seven Years in Tibet.
(I’m kidding)

Yeah if you go to Tibet now, thats what you would get, is seven years… in prison!
Just think Mo, Batman Begins and Transformers are about to come out on Blu-Ray buddy…. those with Firefly = TIME TO BUY!
lol Mike you forgot Chocolat

Steve, I think I actually LIKED Chocolat, but I would never, ever buy it
Yeah - I had checked their selection when they announced this yesterday (I believe). Not a great selection and anything that I would want to buy that they had listed for this deal, I already own.

Balderunner, BlackHawk Down, The Fifth Element, these are all really good ones…
Balderunner…is that the name of the sequel with a much older Harrison Ford?
The Fifth Element? Dude - you hit your head much harder than you thought.
I already own Blade Runner - excellent movie. Black Hawk Down was ok, not sure if it was good enough to own though.

@Ape - bud, bro, dood…dont tell me you didnt like the fifth element? I mean anyone else can tell me they didnt like it, anyone, but you. Why?!?! I’ll tell you why.. we have NEVER disagreed on anything, except today with dreadlock boy making a really good song average, and now this?!?! Say it aint so… Cause I ALWAYS know we got each others back…Come on April Fools me or something…
For the love of baldrunner, say IT AINT SO!!
Sorry Charlie…I just don’t like the Fifth Element. Maybe if I drank a fifth and then watched it, it might be better? But I don’t know.
It’s really strange because we have other friends who we agree with on all sorts of movies but this one. Many of my friends think it’s the “bees knees,” but I thought it was absolutely terrible. The acting, the plot, the sets - everything. I just didn’t get it at all.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh mannn……. ok, thats it…. I gotta go find a cliff…I just cant take it anymore…
I really enjoyed Fifth Element, the Ape must have slipped on a banana peel when he was a wee lad
Unfortunately Mike you have a strike against you when you talk movies with me. We are on a totally different wave-length when it comes to our movie tastes, except for LOTR.
And we have similar tastes regarding TV shows too.

@ the Captain: I LOVE the “Fifth Element!!!! Believe me, for years I have tried to convince the D. L. White and the Trousered Ape that they have it all wrong when it comes to the “Fifth Element, but so far I have been unsuccessful in that quest. I hope to one day win the debate, so maybe you can help me convince them. They just do not see what we do in the film, it has a unique charm. On a side note, I also LOVE “Bladerunner.
@ Trousered Ape, I agree with you about “Black Hawk Down. It was just not my kind of movie and I do not consider it good enough to own either.

Oh - not sure about D.L. White’s stance on this but I can be bought. For the right amount of $ I’ll agree that the Fifth Element was the best movie ever… lol

Ape, what other movies do we disagree on? I didn’t know we were that different…
Anything that is a chick-flick - I don’t watch! So…I imagine that is a huge difference right there.
The Trousered Ape’s last blog post..Who was Jesus of Nazareth? - Part 2 of 10 with Dr. Craig
Alright, well I guess so, but if you don’t watch it, then you really don’t have an opinion either way
Sure I do. I don’t have to take drugs to know they are bad from me. Likewise, I don’t need to watch a chick-flick to know that I’ll have my dude-card revoked.

You guys are funny.

Real men don’t worry about turning in their “dude cards”…real men watch what they want, and spit on people who mock them.
*spits*
@ Raven - thanks, we’ll be here all week.

@ Mike - you have no worries about the man/dude-card issue. To turn one in presupposes that you had one to begin with and I think that is where your faulty logic is coming into play. You can’t turn in something you never had to begin with. Think of yourself as a real-life J.D.
