I’ve had a lot of you readers stop by this site, find one of my Breaking Bad recaps and ask if there was going to be a season 2 or not.
Well, today Variety reports that AMC has FINALLY renewed Breaking Bad for a second season, although we don’t have any idea yet when it will actually return with new episodes.
Breaking Bad starred Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, and when you get a chance, read my season 1 recap and review.
It was a fantastic little show about a guy named Walter White (Cranston), who comes down with lung cancer and decided to help his family’s financial future by selling crystal meth.
It was definitely a dark comedy at times, but also a hard-hitting drama with some seriously awesome acting from Cranston.
Great to see Breaking Bad get a second second.
I didn’t get a chance to see any of season 1, but this show has a pretty big following online so I’m guessing a lot of people really like it.

Why won’t AMC allow us to watch all episodes online like they once did? They’ve already re-run the entire series 3 times (that I saw)! Why not online like they did DURING THE ORIGINAL AIRING (albeit at a 2-week lag)?! I can understand holding off with new episodes but even there, hasn’t anyone at AMC heard of TiVO?! Or how about media capture cards or even a simple VCR?!!! Must we now become “media pirates” in order to watch a show that there’s a CLEAR interest in? Can’t AMC take advantage of this interest and work it to their advantage? Seems to me that someone at AMC has SERIOUSLY dropped the ball and is ignoring a great opportunity to make a little more advertising money by streaming the previous episodes online!
I don’t know about anyone else, but I only buy DVD’s to get RID of commercials as well as obtain any extra CONTENT. Online, I just want to get caught up on the story and maybe AFTERWORDS I might buy the DVD set IF I LIKE IT! But that would mean that I should at least be able to SEE IT too. Is any AMC idiot reading this?
