Joss Whedon shooting a new, first episode of Dollhouse

Straight from Joss Whedon we get the somewhat interesting news that he is shooting a new, first episode for the new Fox series Dollhouse.

Apparently the original pilot they shot might have had a few items that could confuse viewers, and Whedon wanted to fix that. According to him, this was not a network decision (thank God), but his own.

“Dollhouse” trailer redux and new logo

We posted the original Dollhouse trailer link a few days ago, but that one was pretty raw and had some titling that seemed almost…Powerpoint-like.

Well, they’ve reposted it and now it’s a bit cleaner, fresher and has some interspliced wording to help explain some of the stuff you are seeing in the trailer

Fox to air LESS commercials

Here’s something…different.

Variety reports that Fox plans on running LESS commercials during their showings of Fringe and Dollhouse this coming 2008-2009 season.

Fox is calling it “Remote-Free TV.

Here’s the official “Dollhouse” trailer - “Who Are You?”

Here it is, for those craving to find out what Dollhouse is all about, how it looks and what the characters will be doing.

I liked it…looks dark, sexy and mysterious. I’m going to really enjoy Tahmoh Penikett as what appears to be an FBI agent trying to figure out what is going on. Reminds me of James Elliot from The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Cast photo and more for “Dollhouse”

I’m just boiling over with excitement over Dollhouse, although it totally sucks that we’ll have to wait until January to see the first episode.

Even crazier when you think that they finished shooting the pilot three days ago.

But with the pilot done, we now have a cast photo to show you guys and sometime today we’ll be getting the first trailer for the new series from Joss Whedon.

New “Fringe” plot details

I don’t mind repeating myself: Fox is going to be a BLAST to watch this year. We’re getting some cool new shows, like Fringe, Dollhouse, Virtuality and Boldly Going Nowhere.

Add in good staples like Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Prison Break and 24, my DVR is going to be set to overdrive.

Network pickups, renewals and cancellations

This past weekend was wrought with network decisions over potential new series, the renewals of current series and the cancellation of others.

Not all of them are worth noting, because there are a ton, but Variety has a good overview of most of them.

I’m going to outline some of the highlights for me. I’ve scoured the web to find news on anything I can find, and will post updates as the networks start making official announcements.

Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse” plot, cast info and reviews

Okay, I haven’t written much about Dollhouse since we first heard the news, mostly because I was just waiting on more to come out about it and also when shows like this are in pre-production, news trickles out almost every other day.
But now we have a pretty firm grasp on what Dollhouse is going to [...]

FOX adds Virtuality to their slate of new shows

Okay, I have to agree with ProgGrrl over at Galactica Sitrep…FOX is rocking right now. They have pilots in the work from not only J.J. Abrams and Joss Whedon, now they’ve added Ron Moore from Battlestar Galactica to help pen a new series.
We told you about Fringe by Abrams in February, and Dollhouse from [...]

Joss Whedon, Eliza Dushku to do “Dollhouse”

Good news for fans of Joss Whedon. He’s back.
For those that don’t know him, Joss Whedon was the creative genius behind shows like the hugely popular Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and the sci-fi/western-ish Firefly. He also was the person behind the movie Serenity, the sequel to Firefly.
This time around, he’s doing ANOTHER series for [...]
