TV Talk: Monday Night

It’s another edition of TV Talk, this time for Monday night. I was dead tired last night so I only got to watch Chuck and Heroes before I was falling asleep, but there was tons of other stuff on and this is the place to talk about it.
I enjoyed Chuck a lot, the fact that [...]

TV Talk: Monday Night

Monday night has way too much going on these days. We had to demote The Sarah Connor Chronicles to the bedroom so that we could tape Gossip Girl and Chuck out in the living room.
Also new last night along with Chuck was Life, which I only made it halfway through before it was time for [...]

TV Talk: Monday Night

No recaps from last night, but there was a ton of stuff on, including the two-hour season premiere of Heroes, then a much better episode of The Sarah Connor Chronicles, plus Prison Break, One Tree Hill, How I Met Your Mother and Gossip Girl.
What do you think of the episodes and premieres last night?

Kristin Bell Gets Backstory, 13 Episodes on Heroes

This upcoming third season of Heroes keeps sounding better and better. Obviously I’ve seen the first hour of Heroes: Villains already (read the recap here) which blew me away, so that was good enough to get me thinking that Tim Kring might just redeem himself after the debacle last year.
Now we hear that Kristen Bell’s [...]

The Friday Question - Fall TV

All week I’ve done this huge Fall TV Preview and now I’m going to toss it back at you guys. I’ve given you lists of the shows I watch and the pilots I’m looking forward to checking out. Some have labeled me a woman, others have told me I’m not watching the right stuff, and my wife says I did a fine job.

It’s your turn.

What to Rent: New DVD Releases for 8/26/08

This week is packed with TV shows and some interesting Blu-Ray releases, along with a few movies that wont be on my rent list, but could make yours.

There are 23 total titles new to Blu-Ray this week, but only about half of them are worth a gander.

The only downside to all these television DVDs this week is that you barely have enough time to catch up before the next season begins. I really wish these TV studios would try to get these things out months in advance, so people have plenty of time to get in every episode before the fall.

Mike’s Fall TV Preview - Mondays

Today you’re getting a double-dose of my Fall TV Preview. Sunday has been posted and now it’s time for the jammed packed Monday night.

At least, it’s jammed packed over in my house. There is almost too much on to record, so thank the DVR gods that we have two of those fancy recording machines to make sure we don’t miss a single episode of our favorite series.

Did the exclusive Heroes Comic-Con issue mean anything for the series?

I haven’t seen anyone around the comic book blogosphere talking about the special exclusive Heroes comic book that some of us received at Comic-Con last weekend, but the reason could be that it wasn’t exactly exclusive, despite that disclaimer on the cover. It contained a few previously published stories and a brand new one.

It also wasn’t very buzz-worthy.

Comic-Con: Videos of the panels for Chuck, The Office and Heroes

NBC is rocking and has posted a lot of video from Comic-Con, including three of their most popular panels: The Office, Chuck and Heroes.

Out of the three, I only missed The Office panel, so I’ll be watching it along with you all. Rainn Wilson hosted it and from the bits I’ve seen so far, it looked pretty hilarious.

Comic-Con: Heroes season two DVDs to have extra episodes

According to Jeph Loeb, who hosted the Heroes panel at Comic-Con Saturday morning, the second season DVD box set will be released on August 26th and contain something very cool.

Because of the writer’s strike and shortened seasons (I guess), there will be extra episodes, or unknown episodes, included with the ones that actually aired.

Comic-Con: Heroes “The Second Coming” recap and spoilers!

Heroes creator Tim Kring and executive producer Jeph Loeb knew what they were doing this year at Comic-Con. After Kring admitted the show was broken back in November, the man behind the superhero saga knew that they had to create some buzz going into this third season in order to bring the skeptics back.

Because, let’s face it: A lot of people were ready to, or in fact did, get rid of Heroes from their DVR season passes last year.

So when he held up a disc labled Heroes: Villains, “The Chosen One”, you had this feeling it was going to be awesome

Comic-Con: First episode of Heroes: Villains was fraktastic!

Too many panels, only one little me. But this morning we were treated to the very first episode of Heroes: Villains called The Second Coming.

And let me tell you…all the promises that Tim Kring made about restoring Heroes to its previous glory have not been exaggerated.

I’ll have a full recap of The Second Coming, with spoilers and all the good stuff a bit later tonight hopefully, possibly Sunday.

The first “Heroes” webisode will make your ears bleed!

This summer has been weird for me when it comes to NBC’s Heroes. As I’ve said before, I loved the first season and essentially loathed the second.

But somehow during the months since it’s been off the air, I’ve started to look forward to the third season. Maybe it’s creator Tim Kring’s promise to bring back the “awesome” from that brilliant first year.

“Heroes Season Three: Villains” promo

As much as I bagged on Heroes last season, I admit I’m at the front of the line for those that have high hopes it can return to season one form. The concept was great, the characters good, it’s just the direction of the show that lost its course.

New “Heroes” season 3 promo and spoilers

I am starting to actually let myself get a TWINGE excited for the third season of Heroes this fall. If only to see if Tim Kring can actually turn it around and make it exciting once more.

We have some spoilers for you below, including the brand new promo for season 3, and some interesting tidbits about Brea Grant’s character Daphne in regards to Hiro.
