Hide the Cougar Traps: Kim Bauer is Back!

Hide the Cougar Traps: Kim Bauer is Back!

The above photo is enhanced for your enjoyment (used to be a bit too dark). It’s a screenshot from that infamous episode of 24 where Kim Bauer is caught in an animal trap, and instead of eating her, this cougar just continued on his way.

It was one of the low points of 24 in the entire history of the show. In fact, if I remember correctly, most of us were PRAYING that cougar would eat her right then and there, and spare us episodes and episodes of pain and torture.

Movie Review: Mirrors (2008) by Jason

Kiefer Sutherland stars as a former policeman-turned-security guard who discovers something sinister lurking in the mirrors of a crumbling museum in writer/director Alexandre Aja’s menacing study in the origins of evil.

Comic-Con: Tony Almeida is back from the dead on 24

If you haven’t heard that Carlos Bernard is back once again to play Tony Almeida on 24 this coming season, then you haven’t been reading our site enough and it’s time to change that fact.

But before we ever get to Tony returning, the 24 movie will take place this fall and from the scene we all were treated with, this looks like a humdinger of an entry.

Will a “Pretty Woman” invade “24″ next season?

Via Amy Vernon over on LoHud.com comes a very interesting rumor that originated from StarMagazine.com.

Julia Roberts, THE Pretty Woman, is potentially guest-starring on 24 this coming season. Amy pointed out that Roberts left Keifer Sutherland at the altar back in 1991, when she ran off with Jason Patric, an event that I have no recollection of.

Tony “Lazarus” Almeida is the bad guy on “24″ in season 7?

Are you getting excited about the upcoming season of 24? I mean, yeah, it’s like 7 months away, but still.

Would it damper your anticipation if you knew Tony Almeida was not only back from the dead, but likely a suspect in terrorism attacks?

More Details On The “24″ Prequel Movie

We’ve been keeping you up to date on the prequel movie for “24” that is set to premiere on Fox this Fall because it is supposed to lead in to the seventh season of the show that starts next January.  Well, Robert Carlyle, who has a major role in the film recently spoke with Premiere and gave us some new details.

Check out the creepy “Mirrors” movie poster

Yesterday Jason posted the teaser trailer for the upcoming Keifer Sutherland horror flick, Mirrors, and now we have a poster to pass on to you that’s just as creepy.

I watched the trailer myself and muttered the words “no thanks”, because from what I saw, the movie already has two strikes against it in my book:

Jon Voight to Face Jack Bauer in “24″

The Hollywood Reporter says Jon Voight will be joining the cast of 24 for the upcoming seventh season.

“Jericho” Alum Sprague Grayden Joins Fox’s “24″

Now that Jericho is definitely gone for good, the stars have been looking for work.  Sprague Grayden who played Heather Lisinski on that show will now be joining the cast of 24 on Fox.

New Faces Added to Cast of “24″ Prequel

The two-hour 24 prequel has added three new cast members.  Eric Lively, Tony Todd and Gil Bellows have all joined the cast according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“24″ Television Prequel Gets Premiere Date and Guest Star

Fox recently announced their fall schedule along with all the other networks.  “24″ won’t be returning until January when Season 7 will air with uninterrupted episodes.  However, as we already know, a two hour prequel movie will be airing this fall that will bridge the gap between Season 6 and Season 7.  Fox announced that the prequel will air on November 23, 2008.

Ultimate Bad Ass: The Championship Round

It’s finally here. The Championship Round of Ultimate Bad Ass.

We’ve gone through a lot of interesting matchups and while I knew Jason Bourne would be here at the very end, I couldn’t predict John McClane would end up as his opponent.

Most of that is due to the fact that seeding Jack Bauer in the same bracket as Jason Bourne basically eliminated that potential matchup where it maybe should have been, but regardless, the Bourne versus McClane battle should be great.

Jack Bauer takes on horror in “Mirrors”

Okay, it’s not Jack Bauer, but hasn’t Keifer Sutherland totally been typecast as the greatest CTU agent ever? I actually feel sort of bad for him, because it might be hard for him to break the “Jack Bauer” stigma as much as perhaps William Shatner.

Maybe.

First Look at the Cast of “24″ Season 7

We’ve gotten our hands on a promo pic of the entire cast of the 7th season of Fox’s “24.”  As you probably know by now the show was originally scheduled to premiere on January 13, 2008, but was postponed when the writer’s strike (and Kiefer Sutherland’s jail stint) prevented the show from finishing enough episodes to be able to show the entire season without interruption.  Fox decided to postpone the season until January of 2009 when it could be shown without a break.

Nominations for Ultimate Bad Ass award

The Friday Question last week, which was about TV shows on DVD, ended up in a comments battle between Jack Bauer, Chuck Norris and other tough guys on television/movies.

Who would win in a fight? Jack or Chuck? John McClane or T.J. Hooker?

You guys started throwing other names out there, and then someone suggested we throw them all into a bracket system and vote on it.

I liked the idea and it might be fun to do over the next few weeks. I can’t think of a better name for this competition other than Ultimate Bad Ass, which seems to fit perfectly.
