Jack Black Going Back To School Of Rock

Jack Black is officially going back to school - the school of rock that is.  Variety reports that Paramount Pictures is deep into development on a School Of Rock sequel that will be called School Of Rock 2: America Rocks which will bring Jack Black back as rock star wannabe/substitute teacher Dewey Finn and reteam him with director Richard Linklater and producer Scott Rudin.

James McAvoy could be Bilbo Baggins

Casting rumors are flying now that The Hobbit production is gearing up. I hadn’t even given much thought about who would play the star of the movie, Bilbo Baggins, maybe because I was so excited that Ian McKellen and Viggo Mortensen were returning.

Contact Music is reporting that James McAvoy is the producers’ choice to play Bilbo. If you remember from the Lord of the Rings films, that role was taken by Ian Holm, but obviously they need a much younger actor to play the part now.
