  1. Sweet! She was a good character, so glad to see Grayden move to 24.

  2. Yeah - I never saw Jericho so I have no frame of reference. Man, I can’t wait for 24 - I wonder if Jason Bourne will make a visit.

  3. Glad to see Sprague Grayden find an interesting new role, but don’t give up on Jericho yet. The producers are working on finding a new home for the show, and fans are hopeful that a third season will be produced.

  4. Yeah Sam, I’m going to post on that tomorrow…the fans are trying hard!

  5. Who names their kid Sprague??

  6. Mr. and Mrs. Grayden I suppose. :)

  8. Concerning the return of Jericho - I got some hate on the JerichoNet forum for my comment that it’s gone for good… Now, I don’t want to jump on anyone, but I definitely did my part to try to save the show. When it was canceled the first time I wrote the letters and blog posts and did all the campaigning and was often linked to from the very same type of people who are still trying to save the show. However…

At some point you have to face reality. The show isn’t coming back. Not at this point. Half the cast is taking jobs elsewhere. I would LOVE to have the show come back but it’s just not going to happen. I’m sorry you guys are mad at reality.

  9. You posted and ran at JerichoNet before seeing my reply there, here it is:

Hi Jason, Ironically, I was just reading your comment on your article about the hate comments. Please dont misinterpret what is written here as hate comments, they are not. Gone for Good are three words that don’t rush through a Jericho fans body too smoothly, especially after hearing it at the close of Season 1.

Since you quoted Need2 I will give her the opportunity to reply as to the other comments. But please know that fans were told via telephone conference with both Jon Steinberg and Carol Barbee that things looked optomistic, and this was just last weekend.

Since you are one yourself, you understand the tenacity of a Jericho fan. While we have no direct target this time around, we are being told that there are still deals on the table and Season 3 is not a dead issue.

If you have any other information you can share with us, I am sure I speak for everyone when I say, we would welcome it and love to hear it.

Thank you for your efforts and contributions as a fellow fan of Jericho.

  10. Well, I can certainly understand how it would be upsetting to have someone in the “media” to say the show is “gone for good” when you’re still fighting hard to keep the dream alive. I apologize if I left anyone feeling disheartened.

As I mentioned, I would love for the show to return. I remain skeptical, but I support you guys 100%. Please keep us up to date on any new developments and let us know if there’s any way Pop Critics can help.

  11. Jason,

I’m glad to hear that you are a fan of the show and hope you continue to fight for it. While not angry with you and certainly “hate” is much too strong a word, I take exception to someone who has the ability to reach thousands making a blanket statement that “Jericho is definitely gone for good.”

The fact is you did NOT do your research or you would have known that Carol Barbee called into Shaun O’Mac’s radio show over the holiday weekend and stated - as a fact - that negotiations were continuing and that Season 3 was still on the table. When asked, Ms. Barbee also said that the actors were interested in returning to the show.

I see that you have very nicely offered assistance, so I thought you would like to hear for yourself what was said. You can find the podcast here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/SHAUNOMACRADIO/page/1

I’m sorry for any misunderstanding and thank you for your help in spreading the word and I do hope to get to say “I told you so.” to lots of naysayers but hope that you are not one of them.

  12. Actually - Jason did do his homework. Unfortunately, the Ape ate it.

  14. N2N2 - I think when actors from canceled shows start being cast in NEW series, you pretty much assume it’s dead.

I guess the show could go on without Grayden, but when I saw it, I really felt like the show was dead.

Granted, Jason didn’t know about the fan movement (even though I had a story planned about the fans still trying to keep it alive), but I really, truly thought it was dead too.

  15. He probably lined his cage with it. He’s still not trained for the indoors.

  16. Mike, One thing Jericho fans have been very fortunate with is the contact and interaction opportunities that the Producers as well as other crew and cast have provided us with.

In addition to posting upbeat messages about negotiations, they make themselves available for direct fan questions on Shaun O’Mac’s BTR show. While we as fans know they can’t give us details, this direct contact has always proved valuable. After Season 1, their voices helped dispell rumors and myths, and now, they continue to provide us with optomistic words that the show is not off the negotiating table.

This is the reason you will find many fans saying, “I’ll fight until Carol Barbee tells me not to”.

So while the cast is out being hired we hang on to our hopes for a Season 3. This is due mostly in part to these recent words from people in the know that we have come to depend on and respect.

Regardless of what becomes of Jericho, these amazing people behind the scenes at Jericho will always have my respect for the time they have allotted and the consideration they have given to the fans.

I’m also not sure if you are aware of the Variety Ad, the Hollywood Reporter Ad, The billboard on Ventura Blvd., the TV Commercial, the Season 2 DVD’s for the Troops effort and the Radio Campaign joint effort with Moonlight fans either. I’d be more than happy to ask the organizers of each effort if they would forward their Press Releases to you for your consideration if you are interested.

Will any of this bring Jericho back? Who knows for sure, we hope so, so keep your fingers crossed.

Either way, we are most certainly not going quietly!

  17. @MikesMom - I’m sure I speak for both Mike and myself when I say that we would welcome any communication from the various organizers. We both watched and supported the show and would have no problem passing on information that would help get it back on the air.

    Keep us in the loop.
