4 New Star Trek Character Posters In Hi-Res

4 New Star Trek Character Posters In Hi-Res

There’s not really anything new about doing individual character posters for a movie. Films have been doing it for a while now and we saw a bunch of them this summer. What J.J. Abrams has done with Star Trek, however, is something new. The first set of four character posters for Star Trek was released during Comic Con. We now have a second set that was released at VegasCon ‘08.

J.J. Abrams Wants To Rock The World - Literally

It seems like J.J. Abrams has a taste for disaster now and is planning to produce an epic film (my words, not his) about an earthquake. The film will not be a remake of an earlier Charlton Heston film called Earthquake so that’s actually good news.

Here’s the prequel to the prequel comic book for Fringe

Somehow I missed out on snatching up the preview edition of the new Fringe comic book while I was at Comic-Con, but thanks to the guys at FringeTelevision.com, we have the first six-page issue right here for your enjoyment.

Now don’t laugh: This IS a prequel copy to the upcoming six-issue comic book series that is also a prequel to the television series.

Fringe will have viral clues in-between scenes

I realized last night that I didn’t write much about Fringe from Comic-Con. I did sit in on the panel, but never felt like anything interesting was said that needed to be written about. Well, now you are going to get a few of my thoughts.

Photographic Comparison Between Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy as Spock

I think those of us who have been following news about the upcoming J.J. Abrams Star Trek film have long known that Zachary Quinto, the man picked to play a younger version of Spock bears a striking resemblance to Leonard Nimoy who originated the character. Well, now we have a side by side comparison thanks to Vic over at ScreenRant.com.

New Comic-Con Star Trek Posters

Entertainment Weekly’s latest issue had some pretty cool new posters for the Star Trek movie from J.J. Abrams coming in 2009.

TrekMovie.com scanned them all and published all four on their website. They feature James T. Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), Uhura (Zoe Saldana) and bad guy Nero (Eric Bana).

Fresh off us getting the first glimpses of Dollhouse yesterday, we now have two clips from the pilot episode of Fringe, the new sci-fi drama from J.J. Abrams.

Five new posters for Abrams’ “Fringe”

Okay, today has been unbelievably fun so far with all this Fringe and Dollhouse stuff going on, and it hasn’t ended yet.

Fox is going nuts with promoting Fringe apparently, so much so that TV Week says it is “resembling a film campaign.

“Family Guy” Creator Seth MacFarlane Gets PAID

Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane spent 2 1/2 years negotiating with 20th Century Fox TV for a new contract. MacFarlane’s “Family Guy” was previously canceled twice before recently becoming Fox’s highest rated sitcom (and a $1 billion a year franchise with red-hot DVD and merchandise sales). Apparently, it was worth the wait.

FOX adds Virtuality to their slate of new shows

Okay, I have to agree with ProgGrrl over at Galactica Sitrep…FOX is rocking right now. They have pilots in the work from not only J.J. Abrams and Joss Whedon, now they’ve added Ron Moore from Battlestar Galactica to help pen a new series.

On Friday our traffic spiked a bit for a few Cloverfield posts that we did awhile back, and I was curious why suddenly the ending of the movie was a hot topic again.
It appears the DVD is on the way, and two Cloverfield alternate endings for the movie are part of the special features.
As always, [...]

The new science fiction series on FOX called Fringe, from mega producer/writer/director J.J. Abrams, has finished casting for the top three roles.
Welcome back Joshua Jackson, from the legendary Dawson’s Creek television series which I’m happy to say I’ve never seen an episode of it.
Jackson has been relatively unseen in the years since Dawson’s Creek, but [...]
