This upcoming third season of Heroes keeps sounding better and better. Obviously I’ve seen the first hour of Heroes: Villains already (read the recap here) which blew me away, so that was good enough to get me thinking that Tim Kring might just redeem himself after the debacle last year.
Now we hear that Kristen Bell’s character, Elle Bishop, will not only be getting a true backstory, but she’s coming back for 13 episodes.
I know last season when I heard the news that Bell was going to appear on Heroes, I proclaimed it an amazing bit of casting and tried to make you guys realize how awesome she is. Then the writers decided to give us a pretty crappy season and really didn’t develop Elle like they could have. She was handed some very cheesy lines and ended up being somewhat of a disappointing character, even for us fanboys.
But after watching the pilot and hearing how dedicated Kring is to bringing back the original greatness of Heroes, I have high hopes for Bell this season, especially since we’ll find out where she comes from and get to see her for at least half the season.
What do you guys think? Are you fans of Bell and excited to see her back, or do you not care either way?
Well I hadnt followed her faithfully as you and J did, so I only know here from her run on heroes. her story was unfortunately weak, where her character could have/could be cool, which we could blame on the writers not sure what to do with it….
Hopefully with the proper attention and writer development it will be better
I'm with you. Based on the MO recommendation I wanted to love her, but her character just wasn't very good. Hopefully the new season will fix that.
I love her character. Yea, her character could have been written better but for the most part, she was intriguing. Hopefully this year is much more interesting than last years. I think I only liked 1 episode, and certain moments through out. That's not good. A little disappointed that she won't be back full time but oh well. I can live with 13 episodes.
Just stare at the photo above for a few minutes and you'll stop thinking about last season and start dreaming about the upcoming new one!
