Morgan Freeman in good spirits after car accident

You’ve probably already heard by now that Morgan Freeman was in a pretty bad car accident Sunday night, and was listed in serious condition after being taken to a Tennessee hospital.

But according to CNN, he’s in good spirits now and was even joking around with rescue workers immediately after the accident.

He suffered a broken left arm and other fractures, along with neck and shoulder injuries. He could have surgery as early as tonight and could need 3-4 months to recover.

According to IMDB, he’s involved with a movie called The Last Full Measure, which is listed as in-production. No word on whether he’s filmed his scenes yet or not, nor how this could affect that movie.

I absolutely love Freeman in pretty much everything he does, although my favorite role of his was Red in The Shawshank Redemption.

So here’s to hoping for a speedy recovery for the 71-year-old actor.
