Amazon has had some pretty good prices on the mult-disc, “Planet Earth: The Complete Series” set. I think it’s been running around $69.99 most of the time which is around 30% off the $99.98 suggested list price. I just noticed, however, that the prices are even better now.
It seems as though Amazon felt the need to cut the price by an additional $10. So you can now purchase “Planet Earth: The Complete Series” on Blu-ray and “Planet Earth: The Complete Series” on HD DVD for only $59.95. That’s right at 40% off the list price! You can also purchase “Planet Earth: The Complete Series” on regular DVD for only $54.99.
The eleven episodes of “Planet Earth” cost $25 million to produce and took over 5 years to make. It spans 4 discs and runs a total of 550 minutes.
