Zach Braff Leaving Scrubs

Zach Braff Leaving Scrubs

Some big news came out of an ABC panel discussion today. TV Guide is reporting that Scrubs executive producer, Bill Lawrence, announced that Zach Braff will be leaving the show at the end of this season. No reason was given for Braff’s exit although Lawrence joked that Braff’s exit was “not by his choice.”

Michael J. Fox possibly on “Rescue Me”, “Scrubs” next season

Jason just told us about Courtney Cox joining the cast of Scrubs, and now it looks like Michael J. Fox is also in talks to reprise his role on the hit NBC comedy series.

Amazingly, Fox is also reportedly signing on for a multiple-episode arc on FX’s Rescue Me.

Courtney Cox Joining Cast Of “Scrubs”

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Courtney Cox will be joining the cast of Scrubs for a three-episode arc as Sacred Heart’s new Chief of Medicine.
Scrubs producers had been looking to stunt cast the role of Dr. Kelso’s successor and I’d say that they made a pretty good choice. According to insiders Cox’s character will “ruffle [...]

Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence rips NBC

The Ausiello Scoop interviewed Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence last week and got the full details about the break-up with NBC and what is to come on ABC.

Ausiello says he likes Lawrence because he doesn’t mince words. I’d have to agree, based on his harsh trashing of NBC he did during the discussion.

Zach Braff officially tells us that Scrubs is moving to ABC

Via MySpace bulletin earlier this week, Zach Braff finally let out the news that we all knew anyways: Scrubs is moving to ABC.

Not only that, but he explained just a bit about the Princess Bride season finale called My Princess and addressed the confusion most people had seeing Dr. Kelso suddenly back in charge.

NBC comedy recap: Scrubs, 30 Rock and The Office

I’ve come to firmly believe 30 Rock might be the funniest show on TV. I may say that every Friday morning, but lately when I watch it and The Office back-to-back, I find myself laughing a heck of a lot more during 30 Rock.

I’m just saying.

“Ellen” in high-definition this fall

I never see the The Ellen DeGeneres Show except in passing, but I still think she’s one of the funniest comedians I’ve ever heard.
Her talk show is a massive hit and it’s about time it joins the high-definition revolution. EngadgetHD is reporting that September 8th is the day that we’ll be able to see the [...]

The Scrubs “Princess Bride” finale airs this Thursday

The Scrubs season finale airs on Thursday night, which could be the last episode ever on NBC, but hopefully not the last one we’ll ever get to see.
There is still the rumors about ABC taking over production of Scrubs next year, so let’s all keep crossing our fingers on that. Zach Braff was asked recently [...]

What to rent: New DVD releases for 4/29/08

Nothing spectactular comes out this week, although Amazon does have some sweet deals on various TV shows on DVD.

There’s actually only one movie I’d fee comfortable recommending this week, so all-in-all, it’s a yawner of a Tuesday.

Happy Lost, The Office Day!

As I’m fond of doing for some weird reason, I like to wish everyone a Happy Lost Day now and then, especially when the show hasn’t been on for awhile. It’s back tonight!
I think it’s just because the show is so flippin’ awesome, it’s almost like a little holiday or festival around these parts.
And not [...]

30 Rock and Scrubs swap spots

Variety reported this morning that this coming Thursday, 30 Rock will get moved into the coveted 9:30 time slot after The Office.

That means Scrubs will move to the earlier 8:30 start time. This really isn’t surprising since 30 Rock is coming back next season for NBC, but this is Scrubs last run on the network.

NBC Comedy Roundup: The Office, 30 Rock and Scrubs

Alright, it was flat-out awesome to have NBC’s comedy powerhouses back in action last night. You know, it’s kind of funny to think about how Thursday night’s used to be Must See TV with Friends, Seinfeld, Will and Grace, etc., on NBC, and then those shows went off the air and we all yawned.
Well, NBC [...]

Scrubs is back! Preview clips!

We’ve been talking a lot about The Office this week, but it’s not the only new show returning tonight of course. We also have 30 Rock, Scrubs and ER.
And it just so happens that NBC.com has released a few previews for Scrubs tonight, which you can watch below.
I absolutely love Scrubs as you all know, [...]

Scrubs is saved by ABC!

I am just baffled at this and while I know we’ve written about it a few times now, it’s hard to fathom that a deal like this was struck by two rival networks.
Our beloved Scrubs, which was supposed to end this year, just finished shooting episode 712, which is the 12th episode for this seventh [...]

NBC greenlights Knight Rider, Journeyman fans say WTF?

Stories like this are slowly making me realize that hoping and trying to get a bubble show saved from cancellation is pretty pointless.
Especially when the head of programming for NBC would rather you watch mindless drivel than good, quality entertainment.
In February we got the awful Knight Rider movie premiere (at least, I thought it sucked) [...]
