ABC has ordered a pilot for the unscripted project known as The Shark Tank from producer Mark Burnett. The program will be an adaptation of the Japanese reality show called Dragon’s Den.
CBS Announces Survivor: Gabon Castaways Plus New Game Twist
CBS has announced the 18 castaways who will compete on Survivor: Gabon - Earth’s Last Eden, the 17th installment of the reality series premiering on Thursday, September 25. EW.com has also posted an article about the castaways which explains a new twist in the game.

As most of you know, I’m a big Survivor fan so I thought I’d share this news with those of you who share my love for the mother of all reality shows.

The fall season is right around the corner. With it comes the return of the most popular reality show on television. Survivor: Gabon - Earth’s Last Eden will be the show’s 17th installment. Hosting by the Emmy nominated Jeff Probst, the show itself is an Emmy award winning series and still ranks in the top if it’s time slot each season.

Previously on Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites, the four women left in the game wanted Erik out so it would be an all female final four. Unfortunately, Erik won individual immunity and the girls were forced to used their feminine charms to persuade Erik it was in his best interest to give immunity to Natalie. Erik did and was promptly voted out of Survivor and into the history books as the dumbest Survivor ever.

We’re down to the Final 4 contestants on Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites. This season has been full of injury and ignorance, surprises and strategies, but these four women have somehow managed to make it to the very last days of the game. Which will be the next to go? And which one of the four will win the million dollar prize?
Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites - Episode 13, “I Think That Is What You Call A Life Lesson”
Previously on Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites, James’ finger became so infected he was forced to leave the game or risk losing his hand. Meanwhile, Amanda was labeled as the next to go, but managed to find the hidden immunity idol while convincing everyone but Parvati that she didn’t have it. A tremendous acting job on her part led to a Tribal Council reversal and the ouster of Alexis, turning the game on its head and setting Natalie up for a quick exit.

Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites - Episode 12, “That Is The Good News and That Is The Bad News”
Previously on Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites, Natalie and Parvati formed an all woman “Black Widow Brigade” with the goal of ousting all the men. Their first victim was a hapless Jason who found the hidden immunity necklace then fell for Natalie’s lies and failed to play it to save himself. James and Amanda watched from the outside and failed to make a move to save Jason or themselves from a future exit.

My advice cannot actually help them, of course, since the show has already been filmed, but I will write what I think the best strategic moves are for each Survivor so that those of us watching at home can see who has the best shot at winning from week to week.

Previously on Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites, Jason became so desperate for friends and allies that he sacrificed immunity for a slim chance of staying in the game. Thanks to some major backstabbing and blindsiding by Parvati, Jason’s stupidity was rewarded and Ozzy took his spot as the Survivor voted out as his friends watched their alliance crumble.

Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites - Episode 10, “Ozzy’s Not The Only God-like Competitor Who Can Play This Game”
Previously on Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites, the two tribes finally merged as one and formed Dabu. But things weren’t all fun and games as Eliza and Jason worked to find a way to overthrow Ozzy and stay in the game. After Jason won individual immunity they thought they had a chance, but the hidden immunity idol Jason gave Eliza turned out to be a fake and she was voted out of the game.
Survivor 17 To Film In HD
The reality program, Survivor, on CBS has long been known as much for the exotic locales and the beautiful scenery captured for the show as it has for the backstabbing and mental breakdowns that have defined the reality part of the equation. The show has traveled all over the world from Australia to China, from Taiwan to Micronesia, however, it’s still one of the biggest shows to not film in HD.

Previously on Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites, Malakal still couldn’t win an Immunity Challenge which meant Ami’s history of trying to overthrow Ozzy finally came back to bite her. Ami scrambled feverishly to pull together enough votes to keep her in the game, but in the end the tribe decided they didn’t trust her and voted her out while keeping Erik, a former fan, in.
